As the Owner of Assistants 4 Hire (A4H), I have been telling people for years how amazing it is to have a Virtual Executive Daily Assistant.
What does a Virtual Executive Daily Assistant typically do?
Reviews and organizes your inbox
Replies to emails on your behalf from an administrative email set up for them
Can email on your behalf from your personal email directly
Manages scheduling on your behalf
What else can a Virtual Executive Daily Assistant do?
Linkedin Engagement
Lead Generation through Linkedin and emailing on a consistent weekly basis
Handle specific parts of your client onboarding process
And so much more...
I know the value of these tasks because this was the primary role I had as a Virtual Assistant when I started A4H many years ago as a solopreneur. And the truth is, I am pretty great at it! So good in fact that I have now effectively trained my team of VA’s, other people’s VA’s, and am currently training our Daily Assistant Manager on how to do this process effectively (and we’re becoming more efficient all the time)!
Still, when I thought about hiring and training one of our team members to become my own Virtual Assistant, there was a block. I thought:
I am really good at this…why would I hire someone else to do it?
I really enjoy all of the daily and weekly processes listed, and I am doing them all consistently.
Can I really train someone to be as effective as I am at doing this? Is it worth it for me?
Then I hit this moment of truth in April. I was spending so much time networking to create leads, taking consult calls to build proposals, contracts and onboarding…plus, I still was having the daily tasks of handling my email and scheduling for about 1.5-2 hrs a day. It was just too much!
So, I bit the bullet. When A4H went through the hiring phase and we hired 3 amazing VAs to join our team, I decided I would ask Brendan Dalton to be my own Virtual Executive Daily Assistant.
Can I tell you, it is like MAGIC!
Here is what I found out!
I have the ability to find and train a VA that can do what I do, as well as I do it, in the Daily Virtual Assistant world.
I now have 10 more hours (I can’t even believe I was doing this for 10 hrs a week…) Which I use for:
More networking that I LOVE! (i.e.- In-person events and Golf!)
Consulting calls
Onboarding
Vacation (I am going on three this summer- Dominican Republic, Idaho and Greece!)
I even started a new little casual conversation group called “Coffee and Chat.” Which I have been thoroughly enjoying!
